Morrissey documents the media cover-up of Obama's Lincoln gaffe:
"Note well that PBS specifically calls this a 'transcript,' not the prepared text. A 'transcript' is the verbatim rendering of what actually was said … or it should be, anyway.

I guess we have to give one cheer to the New York Times for not corrupting a verbatim transcript — and the fact that we have to give them credit for that at all says something about the media in the Age of Obama, and that something isn’t pleasant or flattering."

Addendum - Don't be thrown off by Israeli thanks for "Gyptian intervention. The cops did not lift a finger through the whole ordeal. A rescue at the end was needed and it went down like this:
"After telephoned appeals by Netanyahu to Cairo's interim military rulers and the Obama administration, Egyptian security forces extracted the guards before dawn. Another Netanyahu aide said the Israelis' heads were covered to throw off the crowds."

Again, I actually like Newt best.
When the Massachusetts primary rolls around, Newt'll probably be gone, or effectively gone, and I'll have to choose between the main contenders, and it may very well be Perry vs. Romney and I'll have to choose Perry ('cause RomneyCare is disqualifying).
But for now...Newt. Unelectable as he may be. Newt. It's early. Go with the best guy. For now. [Sans 'Stache as we are.]
