UN War Against Israel Proceeds Apace

UN SG visits the woebegone UNIFIL; figures an inspection of a mission that has failed miserably because of the activity of Israel's enemies is a good opportunity to bash Israel:



"UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday slammed Israeli settlements as illegal and called for an end to the 'occupation,' AFP reported.



"Speaking at a conference on democracy in the Arab world in Beirut, Ban said that 'the Israeli occupation of Arab and Palestinian territories' and 'violence against civilians' must end."

That's just fine.  I think it's a good opportunity to cut our contribution to the UN, say, in half. Let the kings-of-sovereign-debt French pay for it.
